We have spent the last eighteen months building relationships, understanding the perspectives of the local communities and other stakeholders and providing platforms for debate and discussion. Our key activity has been preparing our substantial response to Heathrow’s consultation, based on a large body of evidence we gathered independently. I am proud of what we have achieved, and we are building on our successes with our future plans.
Our flagship project for this year will be establishing our new Independent Forum, held in public to provide open and transparent monitoring and challenge of Heathrow’s day-to-day operations and plans for the future. This is particularly important as Heathrow are likely to submit their application for a third runway to the Planning Inspectorate later this year.
